How to use sunscreen to postpone aging
People should get more concerned about their skin while spending lots of time outdoors. This is definitely not good to expose yourself to the burning rays of the sun trying to figure out how dark your skin can get, because this violent action will definitely call for revenge from your body’s side. It is good to apply sunscreen consistently even when it is not so hot outside and protect yourself from premature aging and lower the risk of having skin cancer. The last two points should be the best motivators, so any other opposition for the sun screen use should be useless.
If a person does not spend all the time indoors, then the interaction with sun rays is inevitable every single day. That is why sun screen is so much needed. It is a common belief that people who apply sun screen everyday sooner or later face the deficiency of such important vitamin as vitamin D that our bodies can get from sun. However, it was proved by many studies that the serious lack of this vitamin can only be caused by much more dangerous health disorders. Here are some more scientific facts about the ultraviolet rays that comply up to five per cent of the sun rays: they consist of UVA and UVB rays. Both these parts are not causing anything good but leading to aging and sun-burn. Some of the parts of sunlight can even get to your skin while you are not outside. Every exposure to sunlight, even a very short one leads to the some skin injury, and the longer it is they worse the skin is injured. Then all these wrinkles appear and a person’s skin starts looking like a Shar-Pei puppy. Have you ever seen an older woman who likes to tan too much? Now you should know what I’m talking about.
There is a couple of ways to protect the skin from such sun-interference. The most significant of them is clothing, but how would you manage to cover yourself up in clothes when it is hot outside? Or how would you protect your face, neck and other parts of your body that people usually do not cover with clothes? The answer is obvious – with the help of sunscreen. Sunscreen is what can help us to postpone the process of aging, and to be young and beautiful for a much longer time than our ancestors can ever imagine.
The most important thing is that now you are aware of such a possibility and of the advantages of a sun screen. Now you just need to make a wise sun screen choice. For that purpose, you need to find out a little bit more about sunscreen. You should differentiate between natural and chemical sunscreen products (there is a scale that can help you with that). The thing is that the higher the SPF, the better it protects the skin. However high SPF means high content of chemical ingredients that can even damage the skin as well as the sunlight. The chemical industry is constantly developing and the companies come up with new ingredients, so you need to choose between brands, too. If your plan is to spend the whole day outdoors in the sun, they you should not forget to apply sunscreen every time you get out of water or simply every 3-4 hours.
Do not be misled that sunscreen can help you to stay ever-young. It cannot and actually nothing can. However, sunscreen can help to postpone this process and make already existent wrinkles and lines less visible. Be sun smart!
