Your Lifestyle will Affect how you Age

There are many studies out there that back up the claims that your lifestyle will affect how you age. Many people believe there is nothing they can do to slow down the hands of time. They often blame genetics as well but there are steps you can take to make sure your skin is healthy and it ages slowly. Taking part in healthy actions will work better for you than spending money on anti aging products or risky procedures to improve your skin.

Do your best to stay away from various toxins in your environment. There are free radicals all around you though. By eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and drinking lots of water though you can flush them from your body. By taking swift action to remove those toxins from the start, you can prevent signs of aging from occurring. If you drink bottled water, you may be interested to learn that those bottles contain BPA.

This can cause women to create too much estrogen in the body. Not only does this increase the risk of heart disease, it can also cause the organs including the skin to age faster. Many of the canned foods out there also contain BPA so you need to read the labels and avoid buying such products.

If your diet includes large amounts of sugar, that could increase inflammation and that makes the skin look older. It has been linked to causing wrinkles and reducing the amount of collagen that the body will naturally produce. When people think of sugar, they often think only of junk food. Don’t forget that bread, pasta, and potatoes can all turn into sugar in the body.

Make sure you get enough Vitamin D and other vitamins in your daily intake. This can help to slow down the aging process. Being out in the sun for about 15 minutes a day, even in the fall and winter, can help your body to naturally create more Vitamin D. You can also get it from dairy products such as milk.

If you don’t get at least 7 hours of sleep per night, you are going to age after than if you rest enough. When you don’t get enough sleep, you can also lower your immune system. This will cause you to have more problems with cell rejuvenation. As a result, the skin can look dull. Do what you can to reduce stress too as that is a big trigger for many people when it comes to the aging process.

When you have chronically high levels of stress, your levels of Cortisol will increase. Not only can this slow down your metabolism, it can also cause your skin to age in less time. Make sure you get at least 30 minutes of exercise per day. This will help to stimulate the skin cells so that you are less likely to show signs of aging. Drink water all day long so that you are able to stay hydrated.

Eating a balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables will help you to stay looking young. Avoid drinks that are high in sugar too as they can trigger the aging to occur. Get yourself a good daily moisturizer and be diligent about using it every night.

Both smoking and drinking will cause the skin to age faster due to the toxins they introduce in your body. If you can eliminate those habits from your lifestyle, you will find that your skin significantly makes improvements.
